If there’s ever a film to get folks into filmmaking — the composition, sound and set design, plot, pacing, acting,… this 3+ hour epic truly has it all. It’s probably the most singular experience I had years ago that got me into cinema, next to Dr. Strangelove, Brazil, and Lawrence of Arabia.
